4-HO-MET is a 4-hydroxy homolog of 4-AcO-MET and the N-substituted ethyl homolog of psilocin (4-HO-DMT). It is also the 4-hydroxyl analog of the base tryptamine MET.
4-HO-MET shows structural similarities to the endogenous neurotransmitter serotonin, and is a serotonergic hallucinogen, affecting emotional, motoric, and cognitive functions. 4-HO-MET is a new psychoactive research chemical of the chemical class of tryptamines.
The dosage of 4-HO-MET about 10-20 mg. 4-HO-MET produces a psilocin-like distortion of color, sound, form, enhanced introspection, time distortion, and ego loss.
